“Comfortably Numb” Originally recorded by Pink Floyd | ||
Pink Floyd, Britain’s pioneering band in progressive rock, have their origins in sixties psychedelia but never stopped growing musically. Evidence was made irrefutable with their magnum opus of 1979, The Wall. On that landmark recording, guitar giant David Gilmour purveyed some the tastiest and most memorable guitar work in the genre. “Comfortably Numb” is a case in point, flaunting both sides of Gilmour’s fretboard artistry in not one but two mesmerizing solo flights. |
